BlvckMeta is home. These Community Guidelines are the house rules for everyone on the block: in posts, Vibes, Stories, comments, guestbooks, askboxes, Mail, the Hallway, live streams, anthems, ads, shoppable posts and Service Provider listings. They are part of our Terms of Service. Speak openly and honestly. Disagree all you want. Just don't harm people.
1. Be Real
- One real person, business or organization per account. No fake accounts, bot accounts, or accounts made with scripts.
- Don't pretend to be someone else, a business you don't run, or BlvckMeta staff. Parody and fan accounts must say so clearly in the name and bio.
- Don't make new accounts to get around a suspension, ban or block.
- Don't buy, sell or trade accounts, usernames, neighbors, reactions, BlvckScore or other engagement.
2. Respect People
- No threats, incitement or glorification of violence, and no promoting violent or hateful organizations.
- No hate speech: don't attack people for their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or serious illness.
- No harassment, bullying, stalking, or ganging up on someone. If someone blocks you, leave them be.
- No doxxing: don't share someone's home address, phone number, ID, financial details or other private information without their permission.
- No sharing intimate images of anyone without their consent, and no threats to share them.
- No encouraging suicide, self-harm or disordered eating. If you are struggling, please reach out: in the U.S., call or text 988.
3. Keep Children Safe
BlvckMeta is for adults 18 and older. We have zero tolerance for any content or behavior that sexualizes, grooms, endangers or exploits children, including AI-generated or animated material. We report apparent child sexual abuse material to NCMEC and preserve it as evidence. Read our full Child Safety Standards.
4. Keep It Safe for Work in Public
- No pornography or sexually explicit content, and no sexual solicitation or offering sexual services.
- No graphic violence or gore posted for shock value. News and documentary content needs context.
- No selling or promoting illegal drugs, weapons, explosives, or other dangerous or illegal goods and services.
5. No Scams or Spam
- No scams, fake investment or crypto offers, "DM me to make money" schemes, phishing, fake giveaways or other fraud.
- No spam: no mass or repeated unwanted messages, neighbor requests, comments, mentions or links.
- Don't ask people for passwords, codes, bank details or money transfers.
- Don't use @TheBlock, mentions, the Hallway or guestbooks to blast ads; use sponsored posts instead.
6. Respect Creators
Only post music, video, photos and writing you made or have the right to share. Don't post commercial songs in Vibes or Stories; use your own sounds, the BASS Sound Library or a licensed track. Copyright owners can send a notice at blvckmeta.com/dmca. Accounts with three upheld copyright strikes are removed.
7. Business on the Block
- Sellers and Service Providers must describe what they offer honestly, honor their prices, and follow the law, including licensing and tax rules.
- Ads must be truthful, approved by BlvckMeta and marked as sponsored. Paid endorsements must be disclosed.
- Verified badges must not be used to mislead. A badge confirms who an account belongs to; it is not an endorsement by BlvckMeta.
8. Don't Break the House
- Don't hack, scrape, overload or get around BlvckMeta's security, age checks, rate limits or other protections.
- Don't try to trick TEAIRA into producing harmful or rule-breaking content.
- Don't report people falsely or to harass them.
9. How We Enforce These Rules
Reports from members and review by BlvckMeta founders and staff are how most problems are found. We also use automatic protections: brand-new accounts have tighter limits (for example, in the Hallway for the first 48 hours), messages and requests are rate limited, scam and spam text may be held back, sign-ups with throwaway or previously banned email addresses are removed, and an account trust score helps us spot fake and automated accounts. Automatic systems can slow down or limit an account or flag it for a person to review.
Depending on how serious it is and whether it has happened before, we may:
- Remove or hide a post, comment, message, anthem, ad or listing.
- Limit an account, which hides it from the Porch, Find and the Hallway without suspending it.
- Turn off specific features, such as messaging, live streaming, selling or advertising.
- Remove a Verified badge.
- Suspend an account for 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or indefinitely.
- Delete an account. Accounts that are fake, automated, spam or scams, or that were created and never signed in to by a real person, may be deleted without warning.
- Report to law enforcement or NCMEC when the law requires it or someone is in danger.
Content we remove and accounts we delete can be restored for 30 days if a decision is reversed, unless a legal hold applies. We usually tell you what action we took and why, except for spam and scam accounts, or when telling you would put someone at risk, interfere with an investigation, or break the law.
10. Reporting
Use Report on any profile, post, Vibe, comment, message, Hallway message or live stream, choose the reason, and send it. Reports are confidential: the person you report is never told who reported them. Only BlvckMeta staff who review reports can see who sent one. Reports in the child-safety category hide the content right away while we review it. You can also block or mute anyone. For child-safety reports you can email safety@blvckmeta.com. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number first.
11. Appeals
If you think we got it wrong, email support@blvckmeta.com with the subject "Account Appeal" within six months of the decision. Include your username, what was removed or restricted, and why you think it should be reversed. A person, not an automated system, reviews every appeal and we tell you the outcome. Accounts removed for child sexual exploitation or credible threats of violence will not be restored.
12. Changes
We update these guidelines as BlvckMeta grows. When a change is significant, we will let you know in the app.
